Shipment processing time

All orders are made to order to offer you the freshest herbal products and blends. All orders, with the exception of custom formulated products and the fruit roll ups, are processed within 2-3 business days. Orders are not processed on weekends or holidays.

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

What are your shipping rates?

Our shipping rates are calculated directly from the United States Postal Service based on your package's weight and the distance of delivering it. 

How long do processing and shipping take?

Generally packages leave our facility within 2 - 3 business days of order receipt; occasionally we may be a little behind due to a holiday or order rush. From start to finish your order is processed, filled, and shipped by human beings! For the highest quality and freshness, all of our products are hand-poured and filled to order, rather than pre-bagged. We pride ourselves on this personal touch to ensure every package is perfect. 

Can I add to my order after it’s placed?

Because our payment processing center pre-authorizes your form of payment for the total amount of your order, we are unfortunately unable to make changes. Due to e-commerce regulations and for our customers' protection, we are not able to charge more than your original pre-authorization. Adding to or changing the order is not possible without voiding the pre-authorization or canceling and refunding the original order.

My order has not shipped yet, can I cancel it?

Because we process your order as quickly as possible, we can only accept order cancellations by 3 PM Eastern Time the day the order is placed. Requests for order cancellations received after this time will not be accepted.

When will my pickup order be ready, and where can I pick it up?

We process and package your pickup order by hand and double-check it for accuracy before we send it down to our retail location for pickup. This extra attention to detail means that we need a little extra time to prepare your order.

All orders placed by 2:00 pm ET will require 2 - 3 business days to be filled; in other words, an order placed before 2:00 pm on a Monday will be ready for pickup after 2:00 pm on Wednesday, and so forth. We will notify you by email or telephone to arrange a pick up date and time. 

Pickup orders are available at our Laurel, MD location, 927 Fairlawn Avenue, Laurel, MD 20707 

Do you deliver?

Yes, we do deliver within a 10 mile radius of Laurel, MD 20707. A $10.00 delivery fee will be added to the total order cost. Once your order is completed, we will contact you via email or telephone to arrange a delivery date and time.  

Do you ship internationally?

Ginger's Roots processes and ships non-alcohol products only worldwide via UPS.  We are not able to offer free shipping to non-US destinations at this time. 

How are your products packaged?

We pride ourselves on making sure we use green materials to package and pad our boxes to ensure your order arrives safe and sound. Our sea moss gels and herbal extracts are packaged in glass mason jars and dropper bottles to ensure there are no chemicals in contact with your herbs. We package our teas, raw sea moss, and fruit roll ups in kraft paper bags made from 100% post-consumer paper. Our plastic bottles and containers are made up of HDPE, LDPE and PETE plastic. 

Why does it take so long for an item to come back in stock?

We source our herbs from ethical and sustainable growers. While it would be easy to purchase lesser quality botanicals, we are committed to bringing you only the best. Our growers are regularly impacted by unpredictability due to weather, crop success, and even international crises including conflict. When items do arrive at our facility, they are subject to our rigorous quality control process in order to make sure we only provide the best herbal products to our customers.

Where is my tracking information?

You should receive an email within a few minutes of submitting your order that includes your shipping tracking information. Most orders take up to 2-3 business days to leave our facility after being hand-poured, scooped, and packaged with care before they are dropped at the USPS shipping facility. If you have any questions about the status of your order, don’t hesitate to call our customer service team at (888) 501-4464 or info@gingersroots.com.

Why do I have sales tax added to my order?

Ginger's Roots charges sales tax in accordance with multiple and ever-changing state laws.
