Garlic, allium sativum, is a strong aromatic herb that acts as an expectorant to expel phlegm from the lungs, and as a circulatory tonic to lower high blood pressure. It combines well with other herbs for treating certain bacterial and fungal infections. For hypertension, it must be taken for at least 3 to 6 months to see full results.
Can be taken in capsule form, as part of a tea blend, or in a vinegar solution.
Warnings: Not for the feeble, emaciated, or wasting conditions. Gastric irritation is possible; take with or after meals to lessen this effect.
