Curious about herbalism but not sure where to begin? Introduction to Herbalism is a hands-on 90-minute class designed to give you a practical foundation for understanding and working with medicinal herbs.
Together, we'll explore how herbalists think beyond “What herb is good for this?” by learning about herbal actions, energetics, affinities, taste, and preparation methods. You'll get to know several foundational herbs through sight, smell, and taste and learn how to begin recognizing what plants may be communicating through your own senses.
We'll also cover herbal safety, common preparations such as teas, tinctures, decoctions, and salves, and the basics of creating a simple herbal formula.
You'll leave with a comprehensive beginner's herbalism workbook, a starter herb kit, and your own custom tea blend—plus a foundation for continuing your herbal journey.
No previous herbal experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity.
